I am back and better than ever!

Well, well, well.....I have official gotten back up on the blogging horse and am ready from some action.
To begin lets concern ourselves with a brief thought....you know the saying the only two things to expect in life are death and taxes. I would like to add another concept/word to the phrase, it would be laundry. I have no idea where we get all of our laundry, but between the two of us we seem to be doing laundry nonstop. After getting ready this afternoon (went running and had class for those who are wondering why I am getting ready in the afternoon), I really began to notice that Blair and I have a crap load of laundry.....every week. The next thought that normal pops into my mind is how the hell are you going to have children and not be doing laundry all the time. It will be a bloody nightmare. I just see it now....get up in the morning with a nice pray each day asking that our child not poop, peep, or puke all over their clothes b/c we will be doing laundry forever! Which leads me to my second point on why laundry is awful, my husband. My wonderful, sweet darling husband thinks that our dryer is going to burn down our house and every house in the neighborhood. So, if we have started to laundry and are headed out for the day he will TURN OFF THE DRYER!!! I understand the concern that the heat from the dryer might do something, God knows what....but it always makes completing the laundry that much longer. Personally, I can't stand it....he always makes the excuse it is for the dog b/c if the house catches fire, Wauzee will not be able to get out of his kennel (which he can't anyways b/c he is a dog). However, we live in a town house with two other houses connected to either side of us who probably leave their dryer on when they leave the house and they are fine.....just a thought!

I know random, but true.....death, taxes and laundry! So, since our last visit Blair and I have been busy. We had our spring break, in which we worked half and played half. We headed to Madison for the second half of break and hung out at the lake house. It was great weather and nice to see the family who came up from Chi-town. We spent all of time watching the NCAA tournament (for those who have been reading the blog I am out...big time thanks Pitt :)) and went out to a great microbrew called the Great Dane in downtown Madison. Highly recommend it!
Last weekend, Blair had his big hockey tournament in Indy. I brought the camera, but did not take pics due to 2 reasons. 1. I feel like a dork 2. I tend to get really into the games, so the thought of taking pics does not cross my mind. However, I will provide the outcome. The team won Friday, won Saturday morning and lost Saturday night (which cost them the chance to play in the championship). From my point of view, Blair played well in the first two games and great in the last game. He kept his team in it, with at least 30 saves in the last game. He looked great out on the ice and had some awesome saves (which I don't have on camera-see previous sentence).
It was a great weekend in Indy, just me and a bunch of guys. I will say men are the most interesting creature. If I went back to get my PhD, I would forgo the exercise and study the male brain. It is so fascinating. The male mind thinks and speaks about three topics.....women, sports, and beer (or movie/Seinfeld quotes). That is it! Men are not complex, they are simplistic (in a nice way). The main topic of conversations, was the hockey tourey what team they were playing, when does the puck drop blah, blah, blah! All I can say, is my husband owes me big....outside of the fact I went to each of the games, I also had to watch the regional hockey tournament for the frozen four (college hockey). I watched so much hockey last weekend that I have at least sewn up greatest wife ever for the next 6 months if not longer.
However, I have considered an equation for equal payback.....for each hour I spent watching hockey last weekend (or for that matter having to hear about hockey) I receive 2 hours of chick flick movie time or other types of male torture (watching Oprah, going to a musical)......so if my calculations are correct, Blair is in debt at least 36-48 hours or so ( and counting as we are probably going to head over to someone's house this evening to watch the Wild vs Calgary game)....redemption is sweet....I think we will start with the Notebook.....

Newest Recommendation: Outside of the Great Dane in Madison, the newest Coldplay (Viva la Vida) and the Fray (self titled) CDs. As well as, Rules of Engagement Mondays at 9:30 EST 8:30 CST on CBS.
