So, this is my first official blogging section....very cool! Well, it is a lazy Sunday in many respects. I sit on my couch after finishing my first semester in nursing school. I am somewhat recovering from my visit to good old ISU last night. Congrats again to my little bro Chris for graduating from college. Also, thank you for taking me out to my old stomping grounds, I have much love for Fat Jacks!! It was an interesting experience to hang out with my younger brother had his friends. First, I felt old. I was definitely shocked at how long I actually lasted.....hell yeah partying to 1:30 am. Second, the bar scene in Bloomington IL has not changed in the last 6+ years. You still pre party until 10-11 pm then head out to the bars completely hammered. Guys are still trying to find some girl for the evening while girls are trying to find guys to buy them drinks. Lastly, you still wake up the next morning feeling like crap and hating yourself for drinking too much last night. However, as one ages one learns very quickly that one can not recover as they once did back in the day. As a young 21 year old, I could go out Friday night drink too much, curse myself the next day, but still find a way to rally and head back out on Saturday night. Now, I can barely make it out of bed Saturday morning and I have a hangover for the rest of the weekend. Once again, it comes with getting older and gaining a little wisdom. Overall, I am just glad to see that all is still right in the bar hopping world.
So, a little update into my life. Blair is working crazy study hours at the moment. He has his big O-Chem test tomorrow had has been studying since Napoleon conquered Spain (if that even happened). I am so so proud of all is his hard work this semester and I am so glad to see this semester disappear as of Friday. Blair has been working so hard and hating every minute of it...I can't want to have my husband back! Wauzee is still being Wauzee....Blair has the crazy idea that we should teach him to sit in the corner when he does bad deeds. Can you imagine my dog sitting in the corner facing the wall due to the fact he eat an entire box of cookies while we were out. Personally, I find the thought pretty funny. At the current time, he is sitting next to me in the couch and trying really hard to take over my computer. As for me, as stated previously I just finished my first semester of nursing school. I am truly loving it and can not wait until I graduate to become a nurse. As for my Christmas break, it is filled with orientation at IU hospital for my student nurse position, visiting the rents and in laws during our tour of the upper Midwest (Minnesota and Illinois), and reading as many good books as a possible (also sleeping!). Well, to all that end up reading my initial blog...thanks and have a great Holiday!
Merry Christmas!
